Start revising your diagnostic essay V2. Plan to have a completely edited draft by Monday, February 14 (peer review day). In this draft, you will be expected to do the following:
- You will first need to reverse engineer it to be sure that you've included appropriate subtopics/support points and details--some of you might even want to start over! If you begin again, outline first.
Then think carefully about your audience and purpose. Did you have one?
- Go through each paragraph for coherence and be sure it's reader-oriented.
- Consider your argument. Is it sound?
ESSAY QUESTION: Essay Question: Should public schools randomly drug test their students? Why or why not?
The more you do before next week, the more you will be able to work with when we talk about coherence and cohesion. You will also be able to get better feedback from your peers when we do peer review.
An update draft will be due Wednesday, February 16th at 11:59 pm
The FINAL graded draft will be due Wednesday, February 23th at 11:59 p.m.
